Accounts & Payroll Officer

We are looking for a meticulous Accounts & Payroll Officer to join our team. This is a great role for someone looking to kick-start their career in the world of accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Compute and deduct wages;
  • Input entries into the payroll system;
  • Updating vacation and sick leave records, as well as overtime; and generate reports;
  • Maintain and update employee files;
  • Posting and processing journal entries;
  • Completing of VAT returns;
  • Basic month-end reporting;
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as necessary.

Requirements for this role:

  • Achieved an A’level certification in Accounting and ideally pursuing ACCA;
  • Excellent communication skills in both Maltese & English;
  • Proficient with MS office applications, particularly Excel;
  • Strong reporting skills.

The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills together with a professional and reliable attitude. You must also be confident in working independently as well as part of a team. You will also be required to help with other administrative duties during busy periods.
