Our rapidly growing company is looking for an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer to join the Finance team on a full-time basis, with immediate effect.
The succesful Accounts & Payroll Officer will be keen to join a growing company with a family ethos and will have relevant experience, although there is the opportunity for training for candidates without experience who have the right attitude.
Your roles and responsibilities will be to:
- Collect daily, weekly or monthly timesheets;
- Prepare employees’ compensation by the end of each month using payroll software;
- Schedule bank payments or hand out paychecks directly to employees;
- Distribute payslips;
- Enter new employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases;
- Handle accounts payable and receivable;
- Check invoices for inaccuracies;
- Reconcile accounts with the general ledger;
- Contact clients about invoices that are past duties;
- Assist with any employee or client queries.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Achieved 3 ACCA modules or similar;
- Minimum of 2 years experience within a similiar position;
- Excellent communication skills in Maltese & English;
- Strong Microsoft Office skills;
- Good working knowledge of Accounting & / Payroll software;
- Ability to identify and improve upon existing processes;
- Excellent numerical and interpersonal skills;
- Meticulous attention to detail and time management.
